Buzy week for Newspace North and Norway Spacehub

21.11.2025: Buzy week!

A Week of High-Level Visits at Norway Spacehub

Norway Spacehub had a remarkable and activity-packed week as we hosted several key national and international partners on Andøya. The visits underline the growing importance of Andøya as a collaborative arena for the space industry, government stakeholders, technology companies and regional development actors.

GrandSky and Innovasjon Norge hosted at Norway Spacehub

The week began with GrandSky from the United States and Innovasjon Norge, who held their meetings at the hub before joining us for a full tour of Andøya.

During the visit, GrandSky met the local technology company Tiepoint, explored the mountain hall on Andenes, visited Andøya Space, and received a briefing from the Norwegian Armed Forces at the air station.

These meetings highlighted how international partnerships and local capabilities can reinforce each other, and how Andøya’s ecosystem provides a unique platform for advanced aerospace and defence-related collaboration.

Strategic energy discussions for Andøya’s future growth

Parallel to the industry meetings, Andøy Municipality held important discussions with regional energy partners to review Andøya’s future power needs. With significant industrial growth expected in the coming years, early dialogue with the energy sector is essential to ensure that the island remains ahead of demand and prepared for new industrial opportunities.

Norway Spacehub is pleased to serve as a neutral and accessible meeting arena where public and private stakeholders can align ambitions and build shared solutions.

Visit from the Nordland County Government

The week concluded with a high-level visit from the Nordland Fylkesråd, who also received a comprehensive tour organised by Norway Spacehub.

The delegation visited ISAR Aerospace, Andøya Spaceport, Andøya Space, Andøy Municipality and Newspace North. The visit provided valuable insight into the rapidly growing space cluster on Andøya and the opportunities emerging for education, innovation and high-tech industry in the region.

Strengthening Andøya as Norway’s space meeting point

These visits demonstrate the growing momentum around Norway Spacehub as a central meeting place for companies, government, academia and international partners working in space, aerospace and advanced technology.

We are committed to supporting collaboration, attracting new actors to Andøya, and creating a shared arena where ideas evolve into projects and projects into new opportunities for the entire region.
